How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets is one of my favourite breakfast foods. But how do you make them perfectly? There are many recipes and methods I tried, but none worked. So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

Before we start making omelets, let's remember that eggs are temperamental. Eggs must be purchased fresh, preferably organic, and kept chilled until ready for cooking. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This makes your omelets look weirdly colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

You might burn the bottom of the egg if you place the egg directly on the stovetop. This could ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, microwave the egg for 10 seconds before adding it to the pan. The microwave heat cooks the eggs just right without overcooking them.

Next, let's discuss mixing the eggs. When mixing eggs, it is important to thoroughly beat them. Turn the bowl upside down and grab the whisk to do this. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

The fun part begins - you need to pour the milk into your mixture. The first step is to pour half of the milk in the beaten eggs. Next, fold the eggs into the remaining milk. If you still see streaks of eggs, don't worry. These streaks will disappear once the omelet has been turned over.

After you have folded your eggs, heat up the oil on medium heat. Wait for it to get hot. Once the oil begins to heat, add 1/4 cup butter and swirl the pan to coat it. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. An additional pinch of salt will prevent the omelet form sticking to your pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet upside down or with a spatula. Cook the other side for about a minute. Serve immediately after removing the omelet from its pan.

This recipe works best with whole milk, but skimmed milk also works.
